My Father Has Skinny Arms

Images from a book that I made about my father, Allan Z. Stolzer, while he was going through his final battle with cancer in 2004. The title refers to the strength I remembered him possessing when I was a child, and could hang from his arms. He passed away on January 19, 2005.

The book consists of black ink, white ink, watercolor, photocopied x-rays, and a carved wooden clasp, all of which is mounted onto a wood block. The total piece measures 8″x6″x1″, and the attached book measures 4″x3″. February 27, 2004.
